About The Author
Emmeline Kellie is an actor and producer currently residing in the midlands, UK. She has been acting all her life, attending the Valle Academy of Performing Arts in Hertfordshire when she was young before later studying BTEC Level 3 Performing Arts in which she achieved a distinction. Emmeline then went on to study Media Production at the University of Derby and chose to do all of the Film & TV modules where she learnt about being behind the camera, and took a particular interest in producing and writing. Whilst at university, she acted in over 30 short films and local projects and attended The Actors Workshop Nottingham where she still trains every week. As soon as she finished her course, she worked on her first feature film set as the director's PA (WWII drama Allies which can now be watched on Netflix) and learnt a sufficient amount about the workings of a professional film production. Since graduating with a 1st Class Honours degree in 2014, Emmeline Kellie has worked as a chef, barmaid, web & graphic designer, marketing assistant, 'memory' filmmaker and support worker in order to save up to do a post-graduate degree at a drama/film school. All these different job roles have provided life experience that she incorporates into her work. Emmeline still regularly acts in short films with credits including 'Waitress' directed by Will Price and 'Authentic' directed by Jason Rivers. She has also acted in couple of independent feature films including Nottingham produced 'Heart of Chaos' in which she plays a lead role. Other projects she has acted in include music videos, TV pilots, web series, commercials and more, and she is represented by JPA Management. Emmeline has started accepting more producer roles on bigger-scale productions, having recently produced a short horror film for director Owen Tooth which will soon be developed into a feature film. Emmeline helps co-ordinate the largest film industry networking event in the East Midlands on the third Thursday of every month with Tim Bryn Smith and Miguel Alves-Khan. The 'Film & TV Tweetup' enables anyone working in or interested in the industry to pitch themselves, network and make new contacts, and learn from the professional guest speaker during an insightful Q&A session. She is present at all of these events and hosts many, having therefore been able to expand her own professional network. Emmeline also writes her own material. She is currently working on a big project with the talented Jason Rivers, Chris Anastasi and Will Price called 'I Can Hear You' which she will be producing in 2016.
